Full Home Renovation and Custom Rebuild in Midtown Toronto
This full-scale renovation project transformed an aging bungalow in Midtown Toronto into a luxury two-storey custom home. Nearly everything beyond the original exterior walls was removed and rebuilt. A new upper floor was added, and the basement was underpinned to achieve greater ceiling height and livable space.
The interior layout and finishes were completely redesigned to reflect a modern, high-end aesthetic, combining functionality with luxury. The detached garage was also fully renovated, featuring exterior finishes and design elements that complement the new home for a cohesive, seamless look across the entire property.

This project in North York involves the full transformation of an aging bungalow into a brand-new custom luxury home. The original structure was fully demolished, followed by new foundation installation, complete framing, sheathing, and HVAC system setup.
A standout feature of the home is a centrally located elevator — a thoughtful addition designed to enhance accessibility, particularly for elderly residents. All architectural and permit drawings were developed in-house by Olive Contractors. Interior finishes are currently underway as this luxury home continues to take shape.

The waiting area of Wilson Dental Clinic was outdated, with worn finishes, mismatched décor, and poor lighting. Olive Contractors redesigned the space completely, removing existing flooring, the old reception desk, and door openings to create a modern, functional environment.
A custom-built smart reception desk was installed as the focal point, combining visual appeal with improved usability for clinic staff. A sliding barn door was added to enhance accessibility and introduce a unique design feature. All lighting was upgraded to smart LED fixtures, significantly improving ambiance, functionality, and energy efficiency throughout the space.

This 100+ year-old Victorian home in Midtown Toronto has been one of Olive Contractors’ most challenging and rewarding home renovation projects in Toronto. Like many heritage homes, unexpected structural issues emerged throughout the process, each requiring thoughtful, engineered solutions.
Major structural modifications were made to remove load-bearing walls and create a more open, modern main floor layout. The renovation includes full upgrades to all interior spaces: new bathrooms and a powder room, reconfigured wall layouts, new flooring, and complete modernization of the electrical and plumbing systems. The outdated radiator heating was replaced with a new HVAC system to significantly improve comfort and energy efficiency.

Custom TV Wall and Electric Fireplace Installation
At Ajax Central Residence, our client requested a custom feature wall after discovering a design they loved on Instagram. Olive Contractors replicated the look with precision, building and framing the structure, securing it to the existing dining room wall, and installing all panels, doors, and finishes.
The surface was carefully brush-painted to create a smooth, elegant appearance. We installed the TV with fully concealed wiring, routed through a dedicated housing behind the panels to maintain a clean, seamless design. A built-in speaker was integrated into one of the custom boxes for enhanced sound, and an electric fireplace with integrated LED lighting was installed to elevate the wall’s ambiance and functionality.
